Our magnolias have just started to bloom, I think this one might be magnolia tellata “Rosea” judging by a little googling! It should be really blooming next weekend.
The muscari are also coming up and the most fragrant mini daffodils, with each stem holding 4 or 5 delicate pale blooms are just coming into their own. It’s just amazing how many little gems are hidden in the undergrowth.
We are photographing as much of the new growth as possible trying to build a map of what in our garden before we start renovating it. Lots of weeds and greedy plants to come out but so many precious characters need to be protected- we have a lot of research to do!
