Horetown House is a luxury boutique Wedding venue in South County Wexford.  We strive to offer a warm welcome to couples and their guests and are very proud of our bespoke wedding service.  We currently seek friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our small team as we begin our busy wedding season.

 

Job Title: Receptionist

Hours: 20+

Job Description:

Greeting visitors to Horetown House

Answering calls and general enquiries

Preparing Check in documents for incoming guests

Checking guests in and showing them to their rooms

Handling guest enquiries

Updating itinerary information and details of our weddings

Preparing menus, seating plans and other wedding documents

Preparing itinerary's and rosters and documents for office use

Filing information and assisting with the management of information

 

Skills & Qualities:

Friendly and enthusiastic manner

Good people skills, able to show hospitality and welcome to guests and visitors

Detail orientated 

Good literacy and numeracy and excellent English, written and spoken

Computer skills including Word, Excel

Experience of dealing with members of the public

Experience of record keeping or some other detail orientated work which demonstrates careful input of important information

Desirable but not essential:

Experience in the Hospitality sector, particularly in boutique or luxury wedding business.

An eye for style and finish

Hours:

The successful candidate will be employed for a minimum of 20 hours per week with extra hours during busy seasons.  Working hours would include some evening work and weekends.

Night Porter

Variable Hours

Job Description:

Enthusiastic and friendly person required for demanding role as night porter. 

Breaking down room for cleaning

Setting up room based on table plans

Moving items to and from storage

Assisting guests with general enquiries and taxis

Skills & Qualities:

Dependable and reliable

Honest and trustworthy

Patient and mannerly

This role involves moving furniture for room set up and carrying linen and other stock.

Desirable but not essential:

The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with hotel guests and assisting with directions and taxi services.   Training will be provided

Previous Roles:

Waiting Staff will be required to serve food and drinks at our wedding meals, breakfast and BBQs and events.  The ideal candidate must be well presented, mannerly, friendly and detail orientated.  Staff will prepare the tables for service, deliver dishes and clear delph and clean and polish glassware and silverware.

  • A team spirit, ready to learn new skills and work alongside other staff to deliver excellent customer service

  • Well presented and pride in your appearance
  • Strong work ethic

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience of working with customers
  • Experience in the food or hospitality industry

House Keeping staff are required to clean the house on a regular basis, maintaining high standards in all areas.  Bedrooms are turned over for each nights accommodation and refreshed during guests stay.   Staff will also be required to do deep cleaning and monitor maintenance and repair work required to keep the house is top condition.
