SMALLER INTIMATE WEDDINGS of 20, 30, 40 and upwards have now become a speciality at Horetown House.  These numbers don’t feel lost in the House as we have a number of rooms which can accommodate them.  You really need to visit The House and have a look at what we have to offer.  Horetown House can offer you that homey feeling which is rare and your guests will be amazed when they see where you have chosen to have your wedding.

Larger Weddings  

For the larger weddings which cannot be accommodated in the House (larger than 100-110 for a sit down dinner), you have the option in 2011 of availing of our own  traditional pole tent marquee for the reception where you will have full bar facilities as well as dancing and can accommodate up to 180 guests.

The biggest challenge for couples in the current economic climate is how to make your wedding unique and special, without compromising quality, which is why small weddings are making a comeback - and venues such as Horetown House Co. Wexford- provide the perfect solution for downsizing but not downgrading.

Horetown House is one of Ireland’s finest country houses who host intimate, boutique weddings for up to 100+,  on it’s own private grounds and is located in the Sunny South East just 1 hour 45 minutes from Dublin.

In the last couple of years the landscape for weddings has been dramatically changed by two key factors: the new marriage reform law meaning full civil ceremonies can take place outside the church or registry office, and of course the recession.

These two factors mean couples have a more creative choice for their special day and with the current financial challenges there is a definite shift to more intimate venues and smaller occasions, where the focus is on quality not quantity - without breaking the bank.

Organising a Weekend Wedding Party may seem daunting to some, and you may feel that you need the help of a wedding planner to help pull everything together. Kate White at Horetown House will do all of this for you.  She will sit down with you to plan your perfect day, organizing everything from menus, flowers, linen, music, hair and make up and lots more, no stone is left unturned .

At Horetown House guests can enjoy the experience of a Country House, complete with  staff for the bespoke wedding of your choice.

The property has 10 luxury bedrooms and is the ideal size for intimate family takeovers.  It has 2 drawing rooms with open fires and a dining room which can seat up to 30 guests for a pre or post wedding dinner and of course the renowned Cellar Restaurant where the wedding meal is served for up to 100 guests.  The grounds of course are ideal for a marquee wedding and we can also organize this and the catering and staffing is completely provided by Horetown House so the standard outside the house is the same as inside for larger weddings of up to 180 guests.  We also have off site accommodation and a courtesy car to facilitate other guests who are not staying in The House.
