Major Lackin Room
Smaller wedding parties of up to 30 guests can be accommodated in our Dining Room, which overlooks vast parkland and is located on the ground floor of the House and is fully wheelchair accessible.
The Cellar Restaurant
Larger wedding parties, up to 100, can be accommodated in The Cellar Restaurant. The Cellar is in three adjoining sections as it was built in the 1600’s, with vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls and flagstone floors. This is a truly intimate wedding venue and is one of the many surprises your guests will be blown away by at Horetown House.
The Marquee Wedding
New for 2011 at Horetown House is our traditional pole tent marquee. In this marquee we can accommodate weddings of up to 200 guests. The marquee is a traditional style and can be styled to your personal taste. Our own chef caters for all our marquee weddings and everything is delivered to the same meticulous standard as in House weddings, nothing is overlooked.
5 STAR Accommodation
Horetown House boasts 10 magnificent bedrooms. Each of these is individually styled and finished to a 5* standard. 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen, luxurious towels, softy dressing gowns……and much more.
The House can accommodate the wedding party, close family and friends sleeping up to 28 guests in total. Off site accommodation ranges from self catering cottages, privately run bed and breakfasts and Hotels. These are all close by and we can arrange transport by minibus for you to all of these accommodations so you won’t have to be concerned about your guests getting home.
The Cost of Your Wedding at Horetown House
This website is intended to give you an overall view of what it might be like to host your wedding at Horetown House. To discuss your specific requirements and to work out a detailed costing, please get in touch with Kate. The cost to you for the exclusive use of Horetown House, extensive gardens, our very own marquee decorated and fully fitted out, accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis for up to 28 guests will be €3,000 for the day of your wedding and €1,500 for each subsequent day. Horetown House will be filly staffed for the duration of your wedding and our wedding coordinator will be on duty for your wedding. We have our own chefs and we will work closely with you to design your perfect wedding meal. Our menus start at €50 per person and drinks reception from €4.50 per guest. Midnight munchies from as little as €7 per guest. We have a large selection of wines and champagnes and we do not allow corkage.

CHURCH OR CIVIL?
We have a number of churches in the locality and arranging a ceremony is not at all difficult. Of course we are happy to assist in any way we can with these arrangements as part of our service to you. We have a very good working relationships with the priests and ministers here. We have both Catholic and Church of Ireland options and of course the House itself is fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies which must be arranged by each couple with the Registrar. We can also arrange Blessings and with effect from January 1st. 2011, Civil Partnership ceremonies can also be held at Horetown House.
